ASSESSMENTS

(Next Assessment - 3/31/2012)

Fitness MD's assessments are a fundamental part of our Fit Club program.  For newer members these assessments will give us the ability to set goals for you and help us make a plan to get you to your goal.  Without our assessments we could not accurately design exercise schedules, and meal plans to lead you achieving your fitness goals.  For older members, assessments are a way to track your progress and help us to understand what is working and what is not.  For some it is a reward to see all your hard work pay off, and for others it is a good reminder to stay motivated to reaching your goal. 

Our assessments are broken down into five parts: measurements, strength, cardiovascular endurance, muscular endurance, and speed.  Measurements consist of weight, body fat testing, and circumference measurements.  Strength consists of three exercises to measure your muscular strength: bench press 1RM, squats 5RM, and curls 5RM.  We have one test for cardiovascular endurance and it is the 1.5mile run, using this field test we can approximate your VO2max and better understand and track your overall fitness level.  Muscular endurance consists of four exercises: max pull ups, 2 minute push up test, 2 minute sit up test, and a 2 minute bench dip test.  The speed part is measured by a 40 yard dash.  Overall, our assessments tell us everything we need to know to better assist you in achieving your goals.
