The FitnessMD Trainers Blog

First Fitness MD Blog

Well, we’ve been working on getting this blog loaded up on the website for about a year now, and finally it’s up and running. I’m not much for these types of things, and I’m definitely not much of a writer so hopefully you all bare with me as I learn some new things too. I’m not sure what the purpose of this blog will end up being, I know I have a lot of ideas about different topics to discuss, most of them about exercise, fitness, and human physiology.

But since Fitness MD is more a family and friends environment, I might find myself writing about some personal experiences too… but we’ll see where this blog experience leads us.

Fitness MD helps its members in different ways… some people come because of the atmosphere, some because of the motivation, and some for the accountability. I do this because I love to see people achieve what they think they couldn’t achieve. Exercise, health, & fitness is something that EVERYONE can achieve AND improve on. Don’t get me wrong there are genetic ceilings and we all do have limits, we aren’t all going to be the next Lance Armstrong, but we all have the ability to lose weight, get a little faster, get a little firmer, and get a little healthier. The human body is an amazing thing, and very adaptive to stresses placed upon it.

The most fulfilling thing for me is to see somebody do something they thought they could never do. I’ve seen people do their first pull up at age 45, and run around the gym like a little kid at Christmas. I’ve seen people jump up and down after getting on the scale and breaking the 200lb barrier, the 150 barrier, etc. I’ve also seen the disappointment of failure. Members getting emotional; crying because they missed their goal. I think it is that emotion that is so fulfilling for me. I love to see the passion good and even sometimes bad, probably because I am so passionate about the same things for myself and for our clients. How passionate am I? Well, believe it or not, I’ve even written workouts for somebody that had to serve some time in jail. Jail cell workouts… added a whole different dimension to my exercise playbook! ;-)

I want to open this first blog up to more of a “discussion board”… I want to hear all of your stories! So if you get a chance, tell us your stories of how you ended up at Fitness MD and how we’ve helped you or how we’ve changed your life… I know there are some good ones out there! Thanks Fitness MD Family!! YOU ARE THE BEST!

I have been at Fit MD for just over 1 year now and it has completely changed my life:D A year ago, I was sitting on my couch, 72 lbs. heavier than now, my knees hurt, my hip hurt and I had given up. My friends were going to Fit MD and told me I had to try it. Best decision I ever made. I am healthier, happier and much fitter than a year ago. I cannot do enough to show my appreciation to David and everyone at Fit MD for helping me attain and surpass a goal I had been trying to attain for many so years.:) Amy
