We tried every avenue to live what we thought was a "healthy lifestyle". We tried all the local gyms, group classes, etc., weight lifting and of course cardio; treadmill, elliptical, stair master. We thought the more cardio we do; the quicker we will lose weight. We also tried our "diets of the month", the no carb diet, shakes, protein diets, etc. For our anniversary we got each other a trainer thinking that would get the unwanted weight off. The trainer helped however, it was expensive as we could only afford to meet with him once a week. The rest of the workouts were on our own. Obviously, that wasn't working.
The last straw was terrible blood work numbers from the doctor. Either we take blood pressure meds or we loose the weight. Which made us ask the questions;" why are we so big", "how did we get to this size", and lastly but most importantly, "how are we going to change our lifestyle?"
We had heard about Fitness MD through a friend, and decided to give it a try.We had no idea our lives would change so much. On the first day, we were hooked! It had everything we were looking for; one on one training in a group setting, 1-3 trainers in each workout, a fast paced workout doing exercises we never thought we could do and a workout schedule already made out for us that targeted all body parts. Also, a diet plan that is manageable even with our kids. There is accountability of taking role, of weighing in and taking measurements to make sure you stay on track to your personal goal.
In two months at Fitness MD, going 3-5 days a week, our blood work numbers changed dramatically. Our Doctor called to see what we were doing differently. No medications needed and we are thrilled!
This not only benefited us, but our entire family. Even though our 3 kids are young, they understand eating healthy and working out are essential to a long healthy life.
