Chris and Thea found out about Fitness MD much like many others have from friends who raved about it. After a brief preview, they wholeheartedly committed to five days a week of Fit Club. One year later, they are just as committed and enthusiastic as day one, but ever so much healthier and fit!


After being active in sports during his youth, Chris moved into a sedentary desk job. The weight started creeping up on him and by age 38, he weighed 240 pounds! Health issues were lurking…high blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol problems, along with a host of aches and pains. He needed to make a big change in order to keep up with his kids. One look at Fit Club and he knew immediately this was the opportunity he had been looking for.kwh-chris_after


Thea was a bit nervous about joining Fit Club. Though she had exercised in the past, it was nothing like what she had heard about Fit Club from her friends. Thea was a girl that could be described as "skinny fat"- not much weight to drop but in need of toning and strengthening. She was becoming very self-conscious of her growing "muffin-top". Thea was ready to take the steps necessary to get healthy.


kwh-thea_afterIt wasn't easy. Nothing worthwhile is ever easy. But Fit Club removes the excuses. They have plenty of class times to choose from, daycare on-site, and anybody at any age or fitness level can do it. Personal trainers are there to help you through it, push you along, and modify your workout as necessary. They will even provide meal plan guidelines to get you on track food-wise. The group setting has helped us to build relationships with other like-minded members as well as with the trainers. It's been incredibly empowering to find our inner athletes. We are addicted to the sense of accomplishment we feel when we complete classes. We are excited to participate in activities that we are able to do now that we are more fit.

We continue to push ourselves with the help of the Fitness MD staff. We feel a greater confidence in ourselves. Our example is teaching our girls about the importance of health, eating right, and exercise. To date, Chris has gone from a 40" waist and 28.6% body fat to a 32" waist, and 17% body fat in one year. Thea has dropped her body fat from 18.2% to 15.5%, and removed inches from her trouble spots. No more muffin top! We are incredibly grateful that we found Fitness MD and look forward to our fitness journey with this amazing gym!
